Risk Assessments & The Coroners Court Test

The internet is great for

research, finding information and such, but sometimes relying on the information found can be dangerous. Risk assessment is one example. People will often download a generic template and think that is enough. Changing the name and date and highlighting the bit about slips, trips and falls will cover pretty much everything, yes? This would certainly not pass my ‘Coroners Court’ test*. 

Risk assessments are an incredibly individual area and need dedicated attention to detail in order to do their job properly. Having expert input during the formulation of a risk management will save issues later. Going on from Risk Assessments, it’s imperative that the formulation of Standard Operating Procedures compliment your safety and that of your operation.
