Your dog is not just a dog.

It’s a sentient being, with a psychology, needs and desires that are individual to not only that dog as a breed but that dog as a species. Not many dog owners can fully appreciate their dogs requirements, instead mistakenly placing human needs and emotions upon it which can end up causing both confusion and distress. Understanding the complexities of the human-canine interaction takes time and dedication, and living with upto thirty dogs has brought the realisation of this and other techniques now used to better the relationship between human and canine. With so many of my services, the key is research. Thorough research into the present problem, any triggers, environmental factors, health issues, diet, and relationships are all starting points for the development of a strategy to adapt, overcome and flourish. Once we can understand our dogs true needs and feelings we can have stronger and more fulfilling relationships with them. 

A yearning for adventure saw Damian leap into dog ownership many years ago. Wanting the challenge of living with dogs that he would be able to work with he bought his first Alaskan Malamute, and before long he owned four, was racing them in the UK, and then moved to Sweden to run a prosperous sled dog business. 

Moving back to the UK he began to lend out his skills in dog behaviour and psychology to help other dog owners achieve the lives they wished to have with their dogs. 

Specialising in arctic breeds, he is able to help identify issues that owners have in reaching their goals with their four legged companions, whether that be through diet, behaviour or environment. 

He can help from providing shorter inputs with dogs and their owners, to fully immersive stays with dogs enabling 24/7 tutorage. 

Currently Damian is;

• Employed with a Swedish online academy, helping produce professional educational content, 
• Working with a NYC based vet to gain greater understanding of quality of life issues in canine companions as they reach the end of their lives, 
• Active with a welfare organisation in India that focuses on the welfare of the huge ‘stray’ dog population.
